Jody Hensley Obituary, Spokane, Washington – Beloved Physical Therapist Sadly Passed Away

Jody Louise Hensley, who was remembered for her compassion, dedication to caring for others and strong Christian faith, died on August 7, 2013, at the age of 61 following a long battle with cancer.

Hensley was born on October 17, 1951, in Huntington Park, California, to Howard and Betty Kaessner. She later married John Hensley and built a career in physical therapy, working in the profession for approximately 30 years.

Throughout her life, Hensley was known for her caring nature and commitment to helping others. Her professional career in physical therapy allowed her to dedicate decades to caring for people, while those close to her remembered her for the meaningful relationships she formed along the way.

Her Christian faith was also an important part of her life. Hensley was active in her church community, where she sang in the choir and taught children about the Bible. Her involvement reflected her dedication to both her faith and the people around her.

Away from work and church, Hensley enjoyed a variety of hobbies and activities. She played the flute and piano, tended to her garden, knitted and spun yarn, and cared for her dogs. She also enjoyed road trips and spending time with family and friends.

Hensley is survived by her husband, John, her sister Susan Martin, her brother Mike Kaessner, and numerous nieces and nephews. Her family and loved ones continue to remember the relationships and moments they shared with her.

Funeral services for Hensley were held on August 11, 2013, at Cheney First Church of the Nazarene in Cheney, Washington. The service provided an opportunity for family, friends and members of her community to gather in remembrance.
